How accurate are the datasets these tools provide us with?

Data accuracy is by far the most important metric we are evaluating. It's important to point out that only Amazon knows the actual product sale volume, and these tools simply use various indicators to estimate sales data as close as possible. As time goes on and the software matures by collecting more and more data and it refines its estimations and delivers more accurate results. Jungle scout is one of the first Amazon tools being launched in 2015 giving them the senior advantage with an unbeatable head start in the game. This has allowed them to collect more data and better catalog and improve estimates and overall tools for the end user.

There was an extremely thorough study done to calculate result accuracy of all the top amazon tools and softwares. The median difference in estimated sales relative to actual sales was calculated using the following formula: ((Absolute (Actual Sales – Estimated Sales)/Actual Sales). The median of those percentage errors for each of the tools (Overall Error Percentage) were compared. Many of them can be found for free elsewhere on the internet, you just have the luxury of having them in one place. All of the tools that are very important to do our job properly are done exclusively on Jungle Scout, or only on Junglescout.

Usability

Jungle scout takes the crown for usability with a cleaner user interface, and more responsive functionality. When you have 20 tabs open running the tool all at once responsiveness becomes a huge asset. During product research it is not uncommon to be running the extension on 20+ tabs at once so even the smallest slowdown makes a huge difference.

Accuracy

Jungle Scout has proven through and through they have the most accurate data and they have been since day 1. When there is so much on the line and you're trusting your entire business on a tool to deliver accurate results, you’re going to want the absolute best even if it's only a 10.1% difference.
